Former Genome Alberta Board member Ken Knox received good news to end 2021. He has been named to the Order of Canada.
The annual
list of appointees was released on December 29
th. Ken was noted for "For fostering a culture of innovation that influenced the Ontario Public Service over the past few decades, notably in the agricultural sector".
He has always been a farmer at heart and still owns a farm. Ken is a former Ontario deputy minister of agriculture and is also a member of the Ontario Agricultural Hall of Fame.
Genome Alberta staff and Board members were pleased to see Ken recognized for
his service and would like to congratulate him on being honoured by the Governor General of Canada.
