We've talked to several Provincial Ministers over the last few years at the annual BIO convention and conference and generally the event is a new experience for the politician. The audience is international and there are upwards of 20,000 people in attendance. You need to arrive with specific goals and generally with key people already contacted and meetings scheduled. This year the Albert government was represented by Deron Bilous, Minister of Economic Development and Trade.
We got together just after the opening of the Canadian Pavilion at BIO 2016 in San Francisco and talked about what he set out to accomplish on this trip.
