About Livestock News and Views
Genome Alberta is a federally incorporated not-for-profit organization that initiates, funds, and manages genomics resarch and partnerships.
We are heavily engaged in agricultural research and through new funding from the Alberta Livestock and Meat Agency have launched the Alberta Livestock Genomics Program (ALGP) to help keep Alberta's livestock industry strong and competitive. The full list of the ALGP funded projects and other Genome Alberta projects is available on our project page.
Part of that effort includes these new pages where we will keep you keep up-to-date on the projects funded under the ALGP and on other livestock research news and views from Alberta and around the world.
Look on the right hand side menue for general news, research news, cow, pig and sheep sections, and much more throughout the site.
The stories are all open for comment so feel free to leap in with your opinion and post any new links you think are important. Many of this stories will also be cross-posted on our GenOmics news site and to @GenomeAlberta on Twitter.
If you have any ideas for these pages, drop us a line to info@genomealberta.ca
